Education has a key role to play in preparing individuals and organizations to meet the emerging challenges in business and industry. To this end a large number of management institutes have come up during the last decade. Yet, there is a need for more institutes which can provide the right blend of knowledge and its application.
The Centre has always responded to the emerging needs of the industry and organisations by introducing new activities based on an assessment of the economy's needs. As a natural extension to its academic activities and in line with its objective of preparing young men and women to occupy managerial roles in work organizations, the Centre had set up in 2003 an attached unit, Shri Ram Institute of Management (SRIM). SRIM is offering a post graduate programme in management as a study centre of Punjab Technical University. The Institute has an arrangement with IIT Delhi whereby its students can study some of the specialised papers as their part time students. They get a certificate upon sucessfull completion of the paper. SRIM is also entering into an arrangement with university of Central Lancashire, UK whereby eligible students (upon payment of their fee) can study for a semester (one term of 3 months) alongwith their MBA students.
